JUMO

Sensore di livello idrostatico
40.4390 JUMO

The pressure exerted on a body at a certain depth in a liquid, is proportional to the height of the head of liquid above. This pressure is termed hydrostatic pressure.
The level measurement probe absorbs the pressure through the membrane, to pass it on to the probe through a filling oil. This probe converts the hydrostatic pressure into an electrical output signal with its compensation and amplification electronics that are especially matched to the pressure probe. With the fluid density known, a signal value represents a direct measure for the filling height. The JUMO level measurement probe measures a filling height of between 2.5 m to 250 mWC (water column).
When determining the filling height it has to be taken into account that the medium has a density value that is also temperature dependent. This means that the density at a temperature of 5°C is different to that at a temperature of 30°C. This data is listed in tables. To be able to also record the medium temperatures during filling level measurement, a version with integrated Pt 100 temperature probe is available.
This level measurement probe is additionally equipped with a surge voltage protection to protect the unit from destruction in the event of lightning striking into the body of water.

Further interesting subjects referring to hydrostatic filling level measurement are dealt with in brief descriptions under the product groups 402090 and 404391.
