OverviewPoE Switch KNPB-48. SmartMC (Smart Management Center) provides centralized management for a large number of distributed edge network devices to simplify unified operation, maintenance and management via embedded equipment and graphical operation.
SmartMC — Four major business segments- Intelligent management: device role selection, FTP server configuration, global configuration and network management port configuration.
- Intelligent operation and maintenance: group management, device/group upgrade backup, monitoring and device failure replacement.
- Visualization: network topology visualization and management, device list display.
- Smart business: user management allowing network access users to access SmartMC network through a one-key port activation.
High performance IPv4/IPv6 service capabilityKNPB-48 series implements a hardware-based IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack platform, supports multiple tunneling technologies, rich IPv4 and IPv6 layer-3 routing protocols, multicast technology and policy routing mechanisms to provide a complete IPv4/IPv6 solution.
IRF2 (Second Generation Intelligent Resilient Architecture)KNPB-48 supports IRF2 to virtualize multiple physical devices as a single logical device for simplified management, simplified business (single logical routing/protocol view), elastic expansion (hot-swap when devices join/leave) and high performance (aggregate performance and port density across member devices). IRF provides improved link/device/protocol reliability and supports automatic master election and 1:N protocol backup.
Complete security control strategyKNPB-48 supports EAD (End Access Control) integrating terminal security measures (anti-virus, patch repair) with network access control to enable inspection, isolation, repair, management and monitoring of network terminals, moving from passive to active defense and centralized policy management.
Authentication and access controlSupports centralized MAC address authentication, 802.1x authentication, PORTAL authentication, dynamic/static binding of user identification elements (account, IP, MAC, VLAN, port) and dynamic distribution of user policies (VLAN, QoS, ACL). Integrates with management platforms for real-time online user management and diagnosis.
Enhanced ACL and anti-spoofingProvides enhanced ACL logic with super-capacity ingress/egress ACL, VLAN-based ACL delivery and supports unicast reverse path lookup (uRPF) to verify source address authenticity and prevent source address spoofing.
Multiple reliability protectionDevice-level and link-level reliability features include plugable AC/DC dual power supply support, power and fan fault detection and alarm, and link-level protections such as LACP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Smart Link, RRPP fast ring protection, IRF2, 1:N redundant backup, ring stacking and cross-device link aggregation to improve network reliability and convergence behavior.
Rich QoS policiesSupports L2–L4 packet filtering (based on MAC, IP, TCP/UDP ports, protocol type, VLAN), flexible queue scheduling (SP, WRR, SP+WRR), CAR (minimum granularity 16 Kbps), and port mirroring (inbound/outbound) for traffic monitoring and troubleshooting.
Excellent managementProvides multiple management interfaces: Console port, out-of-band management port, SNMPv1/v2/v3 support, CLI, Web management, TELNET, SSH2.0, and compatibility with common NMS platforms. Supports SPAN/RSPAN mirroring and multiple observation ports for flow analysis and network optimization.
